A collision that occurred around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020, in Baldwin County took the life of a Milledgeville motorcyclist. The accident involved a driver of a 2014 Freightliner with an attached trailer and the driver of a 2014 Honda CBR motorcycle on Georgia Highway 24.
The semi-truck was traveling northbound on Georgia Highway 24 in the left lane while the motorcycle was traveling north on Georgia Highway 24 in the right lane. The driver of the semi-truck attempted to turn right from the left lane but they did not see the motorcyclist in the right lane. The motorcyclist hit the right side of the semi-truck and he was thrown off his bike, he was pinned under the semi-truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
