Motorcyclists Killed in Macon Crash

Two motorcyclists are dead after a crash on Hartley Bridge Road in Macon. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the collision occurred late Friday, June 12 2020, just before midnight in the 6000 block of Hartley Bridge Road. According to a release, a pickup truck was traveling east on Hartley Bridge Road while the two motorcyclists were traveling west . The driver of the pickup truck and the motorcyclists collided. The motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene at 12:40 a.m. Saturday. The driver of the pickup was not hurt, according to Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reports that the wreck is under investigation. Anyone with information about the accident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with a fatality accident investigator.
